When this fall semester started, I needed some extra income and something I enjoyed while doing it. My sister mentioned an app called Rover. Rover is an app for pet sitters and pet owners. Pet owners are able to find a pet sitter that fits them and easily book them for whatever service the pet sitter has to offer. I did some research about it, and I told myself that is the perfect side gig for me. So, I created a flyer for myself that lists the services and prices that I offer. I have a client next week now and it was so simple to just send them the flyer.

In conclusion, it is nice to be able to depend on yourself to create little things like this. I wish it was just as easy as it was like Rover to “book” somebody to do the work for you. Yes, this is free-lance work, but it would be beneficial for both designers and the people in need I feel like. I wouldn’t mind to have a side gig like that from time to time.
